MSLA has developed and collected advocacy resources and information about local and national advocacy efforts into one rich and well-organized resource at http://mslaplanning.pbwiki.com/, the MSLA Advocacy Initiatives Wiki.

It contains ideas and resources to advocate for school libraries with your Administrators and School Committee; Parents; Massachusetts Board of Education; and Teachers!

You can use it to find resources and ideas to support your own advocacy initiatives and presentations. Along with many documents and links, it also contains an outline for a presentation to parents.

I encourage you to to take this to the next level by sharing presentations and handouts you develop from these resources. Please contact me if you have something to share and I will send you an invitation to contribute to the wiki.
