After graduating from Boston University, I began working at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Six years later, I am still with the Institute where I have worn a variety of hats, including roles in patient access and in fundraising. For the past two years I have been a prospect research officer in the development office, Alas, I am eager to graduate from GLSLIS in May 2010, and move into the next phase of my career as a school library media specialist. Coming from a family of educators (my parents are both retired teachers and my brother is completing his master’s in education), school librarianship is truly where I want, and am destined to be.
