Biography for Jamie Phillips PDF Print E-mail

After graduating from Boston University, I began working at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.  Six years later, I am still with the Institute where I have worn a variety of hats, including roles in patient access and in fundraising.  For the past two years I have been a prospect research officer in the development office,Jamie Phillips which is my current position. My education in librarianship has been invaluable to me in this position, as I have honed my research skills and have brought my knowledge of and interest in new technologies to my office.

Alas, I am eager to graduate from GLSLIS in May 2010, and move into the next phase of my career as a school library media specialist.  Coming from a family of educators (my parents are both retired teachers and my brother is completing his master’s in education), school librarianship is truly where I want, and am destined to be.
