The Massachusetts Library System (MLS) provides services to 1,700 Massachusetts libraries of all types and sizes throughout the Commonwealth. MLS was established in 2010 to consolidate the services of six former regional library systems.
Please visit our web site for the latest news and updates. You can search the site by using the search box, browsing the Tag Cloud for topics of interest, or select a category from the drop down box.
Information on how to join MLS is under “Membership”. There are three forms on the page to download, complete, and return to MLS. Benefits of membership include receiving great discounts on materials and supplies through our cooperative, having access to a wide range of free databases, and attending all sorts of professional development workshops!
View these workshops on our Calendar of Events. You can pinpoint workshops of interest by using the compressed view button in the upper left to scroll quickly through the workshop list. Another way is to use the search box in the upper right and enter a specific term like “MSLA” to get all the workshops, which include that term! This will bring up all the MSLA/MLS Making the Connection workshops. You can also use the Calendar view for a specific month at a glance.
MLS is a Professional Development Point provider. Guidelines are found on the PDP page under the Continuing Education tab. Any workshop since July 1, 2010, is eligible for consideration.
